Praying for Health Care!

Hello Dear Family !

Very happy to say that I'm again on the mend, and the Lord has blessed me with loving reprieve on my continued port issue.  No 3rd surgery for now and I AGAIN, Praise God !

So !, speaking of HealthCare, and the national ' Critical Issue '. Here is some additional information regarding MAINE HEALTH CARE. I pray that by equipping one another with pertinent information is the very least we can do for each-other.
Please feel free to check back tomorrow night for new announcements.
With Blessings of the Light of Christ,  b

Hi William,
Since Kathy Phelps of Winslow lost MaineCare health coverage in 2014, she has worked tirelessly to pass Medicaid Expansion and to speak up for the tens of thousands of people in Maine just like her. It's people like Kathy who are leading the fight to expand Medicaid and ensure the health of our communities and our entire state.
This November 7th, Kathy and over 70,000 Maine people call on us to Vote Yes on 2. Are you with us? Pledge to vote yes here!
We know that accepting federal funds to expand Medicaid would mean that over 70,000 people would be able to get affordable health care. We've worked hard with all of you over the years to make this happen. The Maine legislature has passed legislation that would have authorized Maine to accept millions in federal funds to expand Medicaid with bipartisan support 5 times - but those efforts have been stalled by our Governor each time.
At the same time, over 40,000 Maine people have lost their Medicaid coverage due to state budget cuts and thousands more have not been able to get the help they need
This cannot stand. All of us benefit when our communities are healthy and strong. Kathy deserves access to the oxygen she needs for a decent quality of life.  Maine people deserve access to quality, affordable health care. That's why Maine Equal Justice, along with Maine citizens and our allies, are working to pass Question 2 at the ballot this November 7th.
It's going to take all of us - please join us! We know the majority of Maine voters are with us. We also know that in an off-year election, voter turnout can be low. We need your help to get the word out!
6 weeks until election day: here are ways you can help!
  • Are you on board to vote Yes on 2? Pledge to vote yes here
  • Check out the Yes on 2 website and like us on Facebook
  • Sign up here to volunteer and we'll connect you with your local organizer. Mainers for Health Care has regional organizers in Penobscot, Kennebec, Androscoggin, Cumberland and York counties. We also have a statewide organizer connecting all of you in small towns in other regions to the campaign!
Volunteer Here!
  • Please consider making a donation to the campaign so we can continue to build support to pass Medicaid Expansion this November 7th!  The more grassroots donations we're able to secure, the more voters we'll be able to reach.  Thank you!
These are daunting times but we're moving full steam ahead to pass Question 2. We remain committed to our vision for Maine - that all people can live full and dignified lives with food in the fridge and a place to call home. And the ability to get the care they need when they need it. We don't think this is too much to ask. In fact, everyone's health and well being depends on it.
Thank you for keeping up the fight with us!
